Dan received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University in 2003. He then attended the University of Alabama and received a master’s degree in Counseling. Dan served as a part-time youth minister for over nine years in North Alabama while working as a Counselor. He then began working in the area of Connections Ministry in the state of Texas in 2016. Dan and his wife Leann have four children: Ava, Sam, Finn, and Nora. The Burgesses love to have movie nights together, watch Alabama football, and eat Mexican food.
